About MA English, Political Science, Psychology
- Before the era of discipline-specific studies, education was ‘liberal’ in the truest sense of the word. The ancient Indian education system, from the time of Buddha, was inclusive, implying a transdisciplinary approach. Learners were accustomed to diverse subjects ranging from Philosophy to Natural Sciences. MA English/ MA Political Science/ MA Psychology Program re-introduces this holistic system of education considering the ever-changing demands of the modern world.
- MA English/ MA Political Science/ MA Psychology Program at Faculty of Liberal Arts, MIT WPU is a 2 year, full-time, Choice-Based Credit program. The program is a well-balanced combination of coursework, research, and fieldwork. The three specializations offered under the MA program are English, Political Science, and Psychology. The students are provided specialization courses of their chosen program from the first trimester.
- The MA English/ MA Political Science/ MA Psychology program helps Learners to develop multi-dimensional perspective towards the world. It encompasses a broad array of subjects and enables the Learners to understand the inter-relationship between them. A liberal education helps Learners to gauge their strengths and apply the learning in solving problems of various domains. This program has a unique range of courses that provide flexibility and variety that suits the interests and needs of each Learner. The Program focuses on in-depth learning of the compulsory core courses- English/Political Science/Psychology with an emphasis on Liberal Studies.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Maharashtra State (MS) Candidature
- Candidate should be an Indian National
- 50% marks in aggregate graduation in any stream or passed its equivalent examination with 50% marks aggregate. (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra state only)
2. Other than Maharashtra (OMS) Candidate
- Candidate should be an Indian National
- 50% marks in aggregate graduation in any stream or passed its equivalent examination with 50% marks aggregate.
3. International Foreign Nationals / NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries:
- 50% marks in aggregate graduation in any stream or passed its equivalent examination with 50% marks aggregate.
* Direct admission will be provided to students applying under the International Category subject to eligibility criteria.
