Nursing Common Entrance Test (JK Post Basic B.Sc Nursing CET) is a State level Nursing entrance exam. The Common Entrance Test for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in Jammu and Kashmir, known as JK Post Basic B.Sc Nursing CET, is conducted at the state level. This examination is administered by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) to grant admission to the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing program in various Government and Private Nursing Colleges and Institutions within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Residence in the UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh, with ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh serving as a Domicile Certificate for candidates from Ladakh.
- Completion of 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a Recognized Board.
- Possession of a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Certificate and registration as R.N.R.M. with the J&K Paramedical Nursing Council. Male nurses trained prior to the introduction of the new Integrated Course must also provide evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council in areas such as O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, T.B. Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, CancTentativelyTentativelyer Nursing, or Orthopedic Nursing, of similar duration in lieu of midwifery.
- Meeting the medical fitness standards.
Candidates awaiting the results of the GNM examination 2025 final year/semester are eligible to apply, provided they submit their final year/semester marks card during counseling/admission, as per the Board’s decision. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of their candidature without further recourse.

This is the JK Post Basic B.Sc Nursing CET exam pattern.

- Mode of Exam – The exam is a Offline test.
- Question type – The questions are Multiple choice objective.
- Number of Questions – There are 120 questions in the entrance exam.
- Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 120.
- Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 2 hours.
- Language of Question Paper – The question paper is in language English.
Marking Scheme –
- Candidates get +1 marks for correct answer.
- And negative marks is -0.25 for incorrect answers
