Eligibility Requirements

For Biology:

  1. Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (overall percentage including all subjects) or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale in Master’s degree.
  2. Candidates with a BE/B.Tech degree should have a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage including all subjects) or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
  3. IISER BS-MS (All IISERs) Dual degree students with CGPA >= 8.0 are eligible without essential eligibility criteria.

Essential Eligibility Criteria for Biology:

  1. Qualified for JGEEBILS 2022, DBT-JRF-A, ICMR-JRF, DBT-BINC, ARS-NET (ICAR), UGC-CSIR JRF, DST-INSPIRE-JRF, or any other national fellowship.

For Chemistry:

  1. Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (overall percentage; with all subjects) or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale in master’s degree.
  2. Candidates with a BE/B.Tech degree should have a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage; not only in the majoring subject) or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
