IIIT Sonepat PhD Admission

Full-time and Working Professional mode in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) & Information Technology (IT), and Allied Subjects – English, covering major areas of research:
- Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology
- Humanities

Candidate from Industry (Ex-I):

For Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology:
- Master’s Degree (M.Tech/M.E/MCA+M.Tech) in relevant disciplines with First Class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) or CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale AND Minimum 2 years of relevant Industry experience.
- Desirable: Valid GATE Score/Equivalent Exam OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with First Class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) or CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale AND Minimum 4 years of relevant Industry experience.
- Desirable: Valid GATE Score/Equivalent Exam
For All other Science and Humanities:
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc/relevant master’s degree) with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) or CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale or its equivalent grade.

Academic Institution (s) Candidate (SF-A) /(S-A):

For Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology:
- Master’s Degree (M.Tech/M.E) in Computer Science/CSE/Information Technology/relevant disciplines or MCA+M.Tech with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) or CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale or its equivalent grade AND Minimum 2 years of relevant academic experience.
- Desirable: Valid GATE/UGC/CSIR/INSPIRE/NET Score/Equivalent Exam
For All other Science and Humanities:
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc/relevant master’s degree) with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) or CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale or its equivalent grade.
- Desirable: Valid GATE/UGC/CSIR/INSPIRE/NET Score/Equivalent Exam

Admission based on a written test and/or interview. The department may decide to scrutinize candidates using different mechanisms such as the area of guide/candidate/Statement of Purpose (SoP) presentation/departmental research strength, etc.
For written test, the latest GATE syllabus will be followed for CSE/IT, and the English syllabus is attached in Annexure-3

Applications are to be filled in hard copies and only in the prescribed format available on the Institute’s website http://www.iiitsonepat.ac.in.
The copy of the application form, duly signed and enclosed with the self-attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials, etc., should reach by Speed Post/Registered Post on or before November 27, 2023, until 5:00 PM to The Director, IIIT SONEPAT, I-TEC, Technopark, Sonepat Campus, plot #4-B, Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai, Sonepat, Haryana-131029.
