The Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering (AEEE) is conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham every year on an all-India basis for admission to their 4 year B.Tech Degree programmes offered in the three campuses – Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should carefully go through all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the brochure.
- The Candidate should be born on or after 1st July 1998.
- Individuals need to have secured a minimum total of 60% altogether in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) subjects and individually not less than 55% in every subject.
- Candidates who have passed their three-year diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks from any State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent would be eligible.
- If the Candidate is appearing for their 12th exams, they can also apply.
Scholarship
Scholarship Scheme For B.Tech. Programme a Fees Waiver Based On Rank In Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE)
10% of students admitted in each branch are eligible for scholarship in the first year of B.Tech. study in each of the three campuses based on merit. This will be renewed in subsequent years as per the University rules. It is awarded as waiver of tuition fees ranging from 90% to 25% depending on the rank in the Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering (AEEE) 2022.
Number of Scholarships awarded under this scheme will be as below:

Application Process
- Interested Candidates can apply online mode only through the official website https://www.amrita.edu/
- Registration for AEEE 2022 is fully online. Candidates are required to have their recent photograph, online payment credentials, etc. to be ready to complete the online application process.
- Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE-2022), the eligible and interested candidates should register for AEEE-2022 by submitting an application in the prescribed form either Online or by using a printed OMR application.
- Based on the rank obtained by the candidates in AEEE-2022, candidates will be called for admission counseling and candidates can choose their branch & campus from any of the available seats as per their preference and eligibility during counselling.

Selection Process
- Selection to the B.Tech program is based on the rank scored in AEEE 2022 / JEE Mains 2022 / SAT (link is external) Score/ PUEE (link is external) Score
- If JEE Mains is conducted multiple times, all the scores released prior to the Amrita B.Tech. CSAP (Centralised Seat Allotment Process) will be looked into and the best result considered.

Syllabus

AEEE Exam Pattern
The exam pattern mainly defines the internal structure of the exam. The AEEE 2020 will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) & Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P) mode as well as offline mode. The total time duration of the exam is 3 hours only.
=> The questions asked in the exam shall be objective type questions.
=> Total 120 questions shall be put up in the question paper: 35 questions will be from chemistry, 35 from physics and 50 questions will be from maths.
The Candidates should note that Negative markings are applicable. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.
About Computer Based Test (CBT)
It is assumed that the candidate has a basic knowledge about the computer, use of key board and mouse.
Candidate should acquire these skills before appearing for CBT. The candidate sits in front of the allotted computer which is connected to the server. The test software presents multiple choice questions on the monitor. Number of questions for the test is 100. The candidate answers the questions in preferred sequence.
Candidates in different slots will get different question sets. Before finalising the question sets, an expert committee will ensure that the question sets are of comparable standards with respect to content, nature of questions and difficulty level. The decision of the expert committee in this matter will be final and binding on the candidates.
About Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P)
Printed question booklets in 4 different versions are distributed among the candidates. The question booklet contains 100 multiple choice questions. The answers are to be marked in printed OMR answer sheet. An expert committee will ensure that the question set of P&P is of comparable standard with respect to content, nature of questions and difficulty level when compared with the question sets of computer based test. The decision of the expert committee in this matter will be final and binding on the candidates.

AEEE Admit Card
The AEEE 2022 Admit card will be made available for downloading on the official website. The tentative date for is in the month of April 2022. The candidates will be required to download the admit card from the official website and get it printed. The admit card is an essential document which must be brought to the exam hall at the time of the exam. The candidates are advised to check the details on the admit card and if any discrepancy is found, it should be informed to the competent authority.
Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidate to attend the exam. Admit Card to write the exam is generated only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application form complete in all respects, on or before the last date specified. Photograph and signature images shall be uploaded on or before the last date.
AEEE Result
The results will be announced by the concerned authority on the AEEE official website in the month of May 2022. A direct link will be posted here once it is announced by the university. Final admissions shall be made on the basis of counselling results.
