DUCEE is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to First Year MBBS/BDS/BE/B.Tech Courses in the Colleges of the State of Assam. The CEE will be conducted as per the latest syllabus of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council/NCERT Courses Offered - Engineering (B.E/B.Tech), Medical (MBBS /BDS).

Eligibility Criteria

Conditions for admission and eligibility for appearing in the Combined Entrance Exam.

Subject to the provisions of Rule 5 of Admission Rule, 2007 all applicants seeking admission into the MBBS course in any of the medical colleges of Assam and BDS course in the Regional Dental College, Guwahati shall have to appear in the Combined Entrance Exam.

No applicant shall be eligible for appearing in the CEE and admission into any of the courses unless he/she:

(a) is a citizen of India; (b) is a permanent resident of Assam; Provided that nothing contained in this clause shall be applicable to the sons and daughters of the employees of the Govt. of Assam; (c) unless he/she has completed minimum of 4 years schooling either at.

(i) HSLC or equivalent stage or

(ii) HSLC and HSSLC or equivalent stages combined from the recognized schools conducting regular classes situated within the State of Assam.

Provided if the applicant has not done 4-year of schooling in the State then their Father or Mother must have completed his/her schooling in the State of Assam for a minimum period 4 years in the School level inclusive of Primary/ME/HSLC and they are to furnish the required certificate, in order for their son/daughter to be eligible to appear in the Combined Entrance Exam for any of the courses.

Those applicants who have passed HSLC/HSSLC or equivalent exam from Assam shall attach mark sheets and pass certificates with Form B.

The applicants must pass the qualifying exam without any grace marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in the same sitting and must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying exam in case of applicants belonging to the general category.

Applicant belonging to General Category has to secure at least 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in CEE and the applicant belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC category have to obtain at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the Combined Entrance Exam.

Applicant’s age should not be below 21 years and above 17 years of age on the August 2017. Upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed to 22 years in case of B.Sc passed Applicants. Upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed by 3 years in case of applicants belonging to the SC/ST/OBC & MOBC.

After submitting Online Application Form, candidates have to take printout of e- Challan and Deposit requisite fee in any branch of the State Bank of India from Second Working Day onwards, from the day of submission of online application form and obtain their copy of Challan showing Journal ID/Transaction ID

How to Apply

Eligible applicants can apply through the Dibrugarh University Assam website www.dibru.ac.in

Application fees are to be submitted via bank challan, which will also be available on the University website (www.dibru.ac.in)

After submitting CEE Online Application form, the applicant has to take a print out of challan (generated automatically after submission of Online Application form) and deposit the prescribed amount of fee in any branch of the State Bank of India from second working day onwards from the day of submission of Online Application form. The applicant should keep his/her copy of challan after depositing requisite fee.

Exam Pattern

Each paper shall be of 2 (two) hours duration and shall contain 100 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark. Total marks for each paper shall be 100.

There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. There shall be no marks in case the applicants select more than one option in the answer sheet. Option once marked can’t be changed and erased.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The conducting authority will be release the DUCEE Admit Card 2017 online. It has been issued to all the provisionally registered candidates and is available at the official website of DU CEE . The admit card is a mandatory document, one requires to seek entry into the exam centre and to appear in the exam. All the candidates are required to download their respective Admit Card of DU CEE online only as it will not be sent through post or email. In case, the candidates will fail to furnish the valid hall admit card, they will not be allowed to take the test. Also, they must retain the admit card even after the conduct of the exam as it may be asked to be produced at the time of counselling.

Results

The candidates are required to enter their respective DU CEE 2017 Roll Number for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. The result will furnish the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of DU CEE and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.
