DR YSR Horticultural University announces MSc (Hort) Admission
M.Sc (Hort) admission is conducted by DR YSR Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem.
Courses Offered:
M.Sc.(Hort.) with specialization in Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Plantation, Spices, Medicinal & Aromatic Crops, Entomology, Plant Pathology and Post Harvest Technology.
Eligibility Criteria:
Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates seeking admission into Master’s Degree course in Horticulture must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree i.e, B.Sc. in Horticulture the candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 5.50/10.00 from ICAR Accreditated Agri/Horticultural University.
- Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st July of this year
Criteria for Selection:
M.Sc.(Horticulture): The selection shall be based on the weightage for previous academic record (B.Sc.-30%, Intermediate – (10+2) – 10% and S.S.C – 10%) and performance in Entrance test (50%) general and OBC. Candidates with 50% or more than 50% marks in entrance test are eligible for interview/counseling for which is relaxable in case of SC/ST candidates to the extent of seats reserved for them. The entrance test shall be objective type for 200 marks, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor degree requirements of this University.
Application Procedure:
Every downloaded online application should invariably accompany with a DD drawn in favour of “The Comptroller, Dr.YSRHU, Payble at Tadepalligudem” The M.Sc.(Hort.) and Ph.D.(Hort.) application fee for General & BC category candidates is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) and Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) respectively. For SC/ST/PHC category candidates is Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) and Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) respectively.
- For the candidates applying under Other State Quota the M.Sc.(Hort.) application fee for General & OBC category candidates is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) and for SC/ST/PHC category candidates is Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) respectively.
- Application forms duly filled in all respects with relevant certificates together with Demand Draft (Original)should be sent to “The Registrar, Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Administrative Office, Post Box No.7, Venkataramannagudem, Near Tadepalligudem, 534101, West Godavari District so as to reach on or before last date.
