Department of Instrumentation & Control

It is established in 1985 with a vision to produce technocrats in the field of process control and instrumentation. Being fourth branch started in the university, it can be termed as quite old and experienced branch having history to serve industry with highly knowledgeable, skilled and determined engineers. Students of the branch has rooted their flag at many prestigious companies and proved their mettle.

It is a department with highly skilled and knowledgeable faculty members, which always guide students and tempt them to tickle their brains by thought provoking questions floored upon. Department consist of highly skilled faculty with a doctorate degree, five post graduates and three graduates. These faculty members have an extensive career and achievements to their cap. They have been involved in many national and international workshops and have presented numerous papers at national and international arena.

The department is fully fledged with latest equipments and instruments to keep pace with recent developments in the field of instrumentation.

For the benefit of students under TEQIP world bank scheme, department has introduced new laboratories in the field of Bio-medical instrumentation, Distributed control system (DCS), Industrial Electronics, Power Electronics, Communication Technique and Process control. All this laboratories are well equipped with expensive instruments in respective fields for in depth knowledge to students.
