Central Universities Common Entrance Test commonly known as CUCET is conducted for admission to Integrated / Under-graduate, Post-graduate and Research Programmes in Centres Universities. Ten Central Universities (Bihar, Gujarat, Jammu, Jharkhand, Kashmir, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu) have joined hands and institutionalised "Central Universities Common Entrance Test" (CUCET). Thus, one single application and entrance test (CUCET) provides opportunities for admission in Ten Central Universities located nationwide.

Language and Grammar

Parts of speech: Noun, verb, adjective, adverb etc. A rough idea of levels of analysis: Phonetics & Phonologr, Morpholory, Syntax, Semantics etc. units of analysis: Phonetics and phonologz: Phoneme, Syllable, identification of syllable, stress, accents. Morphologr: root, stem, affix; types of affixation: prefix, infix, circumfix, suffix etc; morpheme, identification of morphemes, morphemic analysis. Syntax: word, phrase, sentence, complementizer. semantics: meaning, types of meaning, relations. Basic idea about a dictionary entry. Outline idea about early Philologr and paradigm shift after Saussure, Saussurean dichotomies, semiotics, Language family, Languages of India (scheduled / Non-scheduled) Difference between language and a language. Object of study of Linguistics.

what is computer, Basic Applications of computer; components of computer system, central Processing Unit (cPU), Keyboard and Mouse, other input/output Devices, computer Memory, Concepts of Hardware and Software; Concept of Computing, Data .,and Information; Connecting keyboard, mortse, monitor and
printer to cPU and checking power supply, Projector, Internet ect.
