The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is conducted for admissions to Master of Design (M.Des.) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur, and Ph.D. programmes in Design at some Institutes. CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay.
There is no age limit to appear for CEED. The candidate can appear for CEED any number of times. The CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the results. The language of the question paper is English.

Following is the list of eligibility criteria for CEED.
The application fees are non-refundable.
• ₹ 1,300 for all women candidates
• ₹ 1,300 for (SC / ST / PwD) candidates
• ₹ 2,600 for all other candidates
The application fee has to be paid through the payment option provided on the website while submitting the application form.
The application fees of CEED can be paid either through Credit card, debit card or net banking. The transaction charges have to be borne by the candidates if any.
The CEED application form can be submitted through online mode only.
The examination will consist of two parts, Part A and Part B. Candidates have to attempt questions from both the parts. Part A contains objective type questions (MCQ, MSQ, and NAT) and Part B consists of design and hand drawing type questions. Part A will be conducted from 10:00 to 11:00 Hrs followed by Part B from 11:00 to
13:00 Hrs.

There is no defined syllabus. Candidates should hone their drawing, rendering and visualization skills. Candidates are also advised to go through past CEED question papers .
According to an analysis of the past year papers, and coaching institutes, broadly the CEED Syllabus can be defined as follows.
The CEED examination is conducted in following cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. Students will have chosen one of the centers from this list itself.
Ample time will be provided for downloading the Admit card from official website. Admit cards will be available for downloading from the CEED website from the first week of November to first week December 2016. The Candidates are advised to print the admit card in color and carry it into the examination centre.
The CEED results will be declared in the mid-January 2020. The results will be displayed on the official website of CEED - www.gate.iitb.ac.in/.
