CAT Question Papers

Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the competitive entrance examinations for pursuing postgraduate programmes in Business Administration. CAT is the largest MBA entrance test conducted annually in India. The CAT score is also accepted by many Non - IIM institutes for admission. CAT is a computer based test held in India.

Year 2000   There were 165 questions , 55 questions from each section
    Section I - English Usage 15 questions Reading Comprehension 40 questions
    Section II - Quantitative Aptitude 55 questions
    Section III - Data Interpretaion 31 Q Data Sufficiency and Reasoning 24 Q 
     
Year 2001   There were 150 questions , 50 questions from each section
    Section I - English Usage 20 questions Reading Comprehension 30 questions
    Section II - Quantitative Aptitude 50 questions
    Section III - Data Interpretaion 31 Q Data Sufficiency and Reasoning 19 Q 
     
Year 2002   There were 150 questions , 50 questions from each section
    Section I - Data Interpretaion 40 Q Data Sufficiency and Reasoning 10 Q 
    Section II - Quantitative Aptitude 50 questions
    Section III - English Usage 25 questions Reading Comprehension 25 questions
     
Year 2003   There were 150 questions , 50 questions from each section
    Section I - English Usage 25 questions Reading Comprehension 25 questions 
    Section II - Data Interpretaion 30 Q Data Sufficiency and Reasoning 20 Q
    Section III - Quantitative Aptitude 50 questions
     
Year 2004   There were 123 questions 
    Section I - Data Interpretaion 20 Q Data Sufficiency and Reasoning 18 Q 
    Section II - Quantitative Aptitude 35 questions
    Section III - English Usage 29 questions Reading Comprehension 21 questions
     
Year 2005   There were 90 questions and total marks were 150. Each section had 30 Questions,
     sub section A of 10 questions carrying 1 marks each and section B of 20
    question carrying 2 marks each
    Section I - Quantitative Aptitude 30 questions (Sec A 10 and Sec B 20)
    Section II - English Usage 18 Q Reading Comprehension 12 Q
    (6 in Sec A and 12 in Sec B) (4 in Sec A and 8 in Sec B)
    Section III - Data Int. 10 Q (Sec A) Data Int. and Reasoning 20 Q (Sec B)
    Data sufficiency questions were absent but were mixed with DI questions
     
     
Year 2006    There were 75 questions of 4 Marks each.Negative marking -1 for each question 
    Section I - Data Interpretaion ,Data Sufficiency and Reasoning 25 Q 
    Section II - Quantitative Aptitude 25 questions
    Section III - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension 25 Q
     
Year 2007   There were 75 questions of 4 Marks each.Negative marking -1 for each question 
    Section I - Data Interpretaion ,Data Sufficiency and Reasoning 25 Q 
    Section II - Quantitative Aptitude 25 questions
    Section III - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension 25 Q
