Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital, Chennai (Approved by Dental Council of India, Govt. of India, New Delhi) was established under the aegis of the Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust for the purpose of providing good dental care to the masses and on opportunity for aspiring youngsters to become eminent Dentists. The Colleges was started in 1989 and is recognised by the Dental Council of India and it is also approved by Government of India.
The College offers the students a programme of education, which is dynamic, systematic and sensitive to present needs of the society, science and medical practice. The college provides an ambience conducive for acquisition of the necessary expertise for the future doctors. They graduate rom here as qualified specialists. The college also runs a hospital with a bed strength of 300, offers efficient, state-of-the-art medical and dental services to people in and around Velacherry, Vijayanagar, Narayanapuram, Pallikaranai, Medavakkam, Perungudi, Kilkatalai, Koilampakkam, Tambaram, Guindy, Chrompet, Pallavaram, Pammal, Sanatorium, Perungalathur, Vandalur, Camp Road and Selaiyur areas. The college complex is completely equipped with 310 modern dental chairs, the latest sophisticated instruments for precise diagnosis and for provision of the best dental aid to all patients. Reputed Doctors, dental surgeons and specialists make periodical visits to the college and hospital to render consultancy and treatment.
