Allahabad University Under Graduate Admission Test (AU UGAT) is a yearly exam conducted for admissions to B.A., B.Com, B.Sc (Maths), B.Sc (Bio), B.Sc (Home Science), BFA, and BPA of the University of Allahabad and its eight Constituent Colleges. This entrance examination will be held at Allahabad, Bareilly, Delhi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Varanasi and Kanpur centres.

- Online Mode Interested candidates may apply online for the entrance test. Another mode will not be accepted candidates may apply for the entrance test from the university website. Candidates fill the application correctly and complete. Online application starts from April 2017 to May 2017. Candidates have to upload scanned signature and scanned photo on the application form and submit the online application.

The name of the Test Centers will be explicitly written on the Admit Card of the applicant and will not be changed in any case.
For B.A. Admission Test:
English or Hindi (Language and Literature): 25 questions
General Awareness: 25 Questions
General Mental Ability Test: 25 questions
Knowledge Test: 75 questions
For B.Sc Admission Test:
General English or General Hindi: 20 Questions
General Awareness: 10 Questions
Science Group (Intermediate level): 120 Questions
B.Com Admission Test (Intermediate standard):
General English or General Hindi (Select any one): 20 questions
General Awareness: 10 questions
Commerce (Intermediate level): 120 questions
Test Syllabus
The Admission Test will be of two hours duration. Every candidate has to answer 150
questions from multiple choice questions. For every correct answer, 04 marks will be awarded
and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
A. B.A. Admission Test (Intermediate standard)
Out of seven subjects, namely Civics, Economics, Geography, History, Logic, Sanskrit, and Urdu each subject will have 25 questions of intermediate level. The candidate will have to opt any three subjects from amongst these and shall answer all the questions from the three subjects so opted.
B. B.Sc. Admission Test- (Intermediate standard)
Common to B.Sc. (Biology), B.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (Home Science), B.Sc. (Bio) + B.Sc.
(Home Sc.), B.Sc. (Maths) + B.Sc. (Home Sc.).
There will be 40 questions in each of the following four subjects: 1. Physics, 2. Chemistry, 3. Mathematics and 4. Biology. Candidates of maths stream have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and that of Biology stream have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There will not be any separate test for BSc (Home Science). However, the applicants in B. Sc. (Math) and B. Sc. (Bio) may also opt for BSc (Home Science) and they will be selected based on their merit.

E. Bachlor in Performing Arts (B.P.A.) Admission Test (Intermediate Level)
The paper will consist of 150 multiple choice objective questions of 4 marks each. For each correct answer, 04 marks will be awarded and 01 will be deducted for every wrong answer. The questions will be based on Music (Vocal, Sitar, Tabla) of Intermediate level. The duration of the test will be 120 minutes
The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.
The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.
Candidates have who score more than cut off Marks would feature in the merit list. Candidates can check previous years cut off marks to get an idea of Cut off for the current year as cut-off will be declared after the declaration of Result.
