Courses
Master of Business Administration (MBA) – 120 seats
The aim of MBA programme is to enable a graduate student to become a practitioner during the course itself. While preparing a student for management career the emphasis is on self learning. We encourage the analytical and inquisitive minds to consolidate their varied skills, creativity, innovativeness and thus seek knowledge to be able to make mature judgements.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) – Subject to availability
The institute registers students (MBA) for doctoral degree in the Management Studies. The candidates who have qualified UGC-JRF may get registered for Ph.D programme in management studies, if other wise eligible. The candiates who have qualified UGC-NET are required to quality the Entrnace Test (Subject to avalibity of Seats) conduted by the Himachal Pradesh University time to time.

MBA – 2 years in 4 sems.
Eligibility
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Any first bachelor’s degree of a university, established by law in India, at least with 50% marks(45% maks in the case of Scheduled Cast/ Scheduled Tribe candidate). The students who have commpleted and are appearing for their final bachelor degree examination shall be allowed to appear in Himanchal Pradesh University Management Aptitude Test (HPUMAT).

The performance in HPU-MAT is the basis for screening the candidates for group discussion and personal interview. Normally, three candidates for each seat are called for group discussion and personal interview.
The performance in the Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview and application rating will be the criterion for admitting the students. The candidates for Non Subsidised Students compete among themselves, so is the case with the subsidized seats.
HPU MAT Application Form
- The HPU MAT Application Form, also known as the HPU MAT Registration, is the process of applying for the test.
- If you wish to take the Himachal Pradesh University Management Aptitude Test, you must first check the eligibility criteria and apply according to the guidelines provided by HPU on their official website hpuniv.ac.in.
- Himachal Pradesh University announces the release date and last date for the HPU MAT Application Form through notifications from time to time.
- Therefore, it’s crucial to fill in the correct details in the application form for the HPU MAT exam, provide the required relevant documents, pay the fee, and submit it before the deadline.
- Only those who apply on time will be able to download the HPU MAT admit card later on.
