Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the program, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Successfully completed a diploma course with a minimum duration of two years (after std. XII, 10+2, or equivalent – Higher Secondary – HSC) in Optometry, Ophthalmic Techniques, Refraction, Orthoptics, and Ophthalmic Assistance from an institute recognized by the Indian Optometric Association and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).
2. Successfully completed a Diploma course with a minimum duration of three years (after Std X – Secondary School Certificate – SSC) in Ophthalmic Techniques from an institute recognized by the Indian Optometric Association and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). In addition, the candidate should have practical experience working in an Ophthalmic Clinic.
3. Minimum Marks: Generally, 45% to 50% aggregate marks in relevant subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics).

Age Criteria

• Age Limit: For many medical-allied courses (like B. Optom), candidates must be over 19 years of age as of December 31st of the admission year.

How to Apply:

1. Visit the official portal: www.bvuniversity.edu.in.
2. Register as a new user and generate login credentials.
3. Fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
4. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
5. Pay the application fee via digital payment modes.

Application Fee

• The standard entrance test fee is approximately Rs. 1,100/- to Rs. 1,700/- (depending on the course). This is payable via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
• Payment Mode: Entrance test fee shall be paid through payment gateway using internet banking mode or through debit/credit card. Service charges and other taxes for transactions as applicable by bank have to be paid by the applicant.

Selection Procedure

1. Entrance Test: Candidates must appear for the respective BVP CET.
2. Merit List: A merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the entrance test.
3. Counselling: Shortlisted candidates are invited for the counselling process at the Pune, Navi Mumbai, or New Delhi campuses.
4. Final Admission: Seats are allotted based on merit rank, category, and availability of seats in the preferred branch.
