Shri Balaji College of Education for women was established by the Annai Meeenakshi Educational & Charitable trust to commemorate Thiru.E.M.Gopalakrishna kone of Madurai, a Philanthropist who started the Sri Gopalakrishna high school and E.M.Gopalakrishna kone yadava women’s college & in order to impart education for all and for women in particular. The founder constructed a hospital and donated the hospital to the poor people.
