Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore invites applications for admissions to MD MS & MDS Courses for the academic year 2016 - 17.

Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), & Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Courses admission are conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

Courses Offered:

=> MD/ MS/ Diploma
=> MDS (Master of Dental Surgery)

Duration:

MD/MS: (a) Three years from the date of commencement of classes; (b) Two years in case of those who have recognized Diploma in the same subject

Diploma: Two years

MDS: Three years from the date of commencement of classes

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

MD/MS/Diploma Courses:
=> Candidates should permanent registration from Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council after completion of compulsory rotating Internship (Those who will complete their Internship by 30th April 2016 are also eligible to apply)

=> Candidates who failed more than 3 times, subject wise in any examination during the MBBS course are not eligible

=> Candidate should be maximum 30 years as on 31st December 2016 for clinical subjects. No age limit for MD - Non-Clinical & all PG Diploma courses

=> Candidates who hold MBBS Degrees from Foreign Universities should have passed the Screening Test conducted by the National Board of Examinations
Diploma (MCI Recognized) Holders need to do only two years as lateral entry for admission into MD courses

MDS Courses:
=> Candidates should have a BDS degree from a recognized Dental college and permanent registration from any of the State Dental Councils. Those who are due to complete their compulsory rotating internship on or before 30th April 2016 are also eligible to apply

  • Online registration starts: 03rd January 2016
  • Last Date for Online Registration: 29th February 2016
  • Date of Examination MDS Courses 2016: 05th March 2016 (Saturday, 09.30 am - 12.30 noon)
  • Date of Examination MD MS Courses 2016: 06th March 2016 (Sunday, 09.30 am - 12.30 noon)

Selection Process:

Selection is based on a National level Amrita Entrance Examination and subsequent counseling conducted by Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetham
