American Culinary and Cruise Line Academy organises Keep Goa Clean activity

As a part of its community outreach programme, the American Culinary and Cruise Line Academy (ACCLA) conducted a cleanliness drive recently which involved the active participation of its students as well as the faculty. ACCLA organises such activities on a monthly basis and have made it an imperative part of their curriculum in order to instil the value of community service in its students.

Colva being a major tourist hub in the south of Goa, it was decided to clean the surrounding areas. The cleaning activities were carried out on the road stretch leading to the beach town of Colva. Students and faculty members bonded over the activity and are looking at doing such activities in the near future.

On Cruise Lines, there are number of CSR activities that the crew perform at their ports of call. The Keep Goa Clean initiative is an effort in this direction and helping the concerned authorities keep the city clean.

ACCLA is a unique culinary academy, which specializes in professional culinary education and training, specialising in the field of cruise line culinary programs. The campus has a state-of- the- art kitchen, which is designed like the galley (kitchens onboard cruise liners), equipped with latest equipment, so that the students get a complete experience and feel of working in a galley onboard a cruise liner.
