Amar Sewa Mandal, a reputed education society was founded by Late Shri Govindraoji Wanjari, to cater the needs of quality education in and around Nagpur.The society has established many educational institutions in the Nagpur region. Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya, one of the pioneering institutions run by the society was started in 1983 with modest infrastructure and a few courses to offer. The college building was inaugurated at the hands of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhiji on 12 September 1984. It now offers undergraduate and post graduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Sciences, Home Sciences to over 6500 students and has acquired accreditation status from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi with A grade.
Over the period of last 25 years, the society has made remarkable progress and is acknowledged to be one of the best in Vidarbha region .The major institutions run by the society now include , Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, Kamla Nehru College of Pharmacy , Butibori, Nagpur, Govindrao Wanjari College of Education, Butibori, Nagpur, Govindrao Wanjari College of Management Studies & Research, Butibori, Nagpur ,Indira Gandhi College of Science & Computer Management, Nagpur, Govindrao Wanjari College of Law, Nagpur and Govindrao Wanjari College of Science & Computer Management,Butibori Nagpur. These institutions are recognized by AICTE ,approved by State Government.
