“Pain is now but glory is forever”. Hard work, will, motivation and support these are the four key factors which helped me in achieving whatever I have achieved today. My parents wanted me to do whatever I wanted to but do best and I did it in the form of completing English Channel. These were the views shared by International Long Distance Swimmer honoured with Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award winner Ms. Ritu Kedia who delivered a talk on the theme “Dare to Dream” organized at Kshipra Path situated India International school Auditorium during ‘Award Ceremony 2017’ organized by The IIS University on Saturday.

To felicitate the achievements of the students in academics and sports activities, the IIS University has organized this award ceremony in which Ms. Ritu was present as guest and gave away the awards to the students.

The students who achieved second and third positions in academics, members of office bearer council and winners and runners up position holders in various sports competitions were awarded for the session 2016-2017. In total, 461 student achievers were felicitated on the occasion. The first position holders were awarded in the annual function ‘Virasat 2017’ held last month.

Students who obtained second rank in academics were awarded with certificates, trophies and a cheque of Rs 1500, while students holding third position had to satisfy themselves with certificates and trophies. 235 students from various full time, add-on & Phd courses, 85 Office Bearers & 138 students who excelled in sports were awarded on the occasion.

Prestigious award winner Ritu Kedia is on the list of four swimmer sisters. She dedicates this victory to the success of Polio Free India and to encourage Complete Literacy. While motivating students she said a woman’s identity is either from her father or her husband but the time has come when a woman should create her own identity.

With immense pleasure Vice-Chancellor of The IIS University, Dr. Ashok Gupta congratulated all the achievers and proudly said that around 5000 students from 22 states and other parts of the world are being imparted values, culture along with the education by the University every year.
