“The values you learnt in IISU– of hard work, of serving others with honesty and diligence, with humility and integrity, should enable you to notice a world beyond yourself. Put these values into practice by serving the less fortunate members of society. Through service you will find a citizenship that is meaningful, a citizenship that is dignified,” while congratulating students on their success, Dr. Gupta has said.
He also motivated the students by saying that the future is not a result of choices amongst alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created – created first in the mind and will, created next in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made.

Out of six areas in Rotary, education is utmost important: Shri John F Germ
After receiving Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters, Shri John F Germ, RI President has said that they have six areas of focus in their Rotary service. And he couldn’t pick one of them that’s most important, because each one is built on the others. Water, sanitation, education, health, peace, and economic development are all woven together too tightly to unravel. But if you’re looking toward the future, and you’re planning for the long term—which is what Rotarians do—then he doesn’t think there’s any question, that the most important of those areas would be education.
