Seven days National Workshop on Research Methodology concluded

A seven-day National Workshop on Research Methodology organized by the Centre for Research, Innovation and Training (CRIT) of The IIS University concluded on Wednesday.

A total of 50 participants have participated in the workshop in which 28 technical sessions were conducted.

In the concluding remarks, Dr. Subhash Garg, Dean & Director, CRIT said that logical and conceptual knowledge is a prerequisite to research. This workshop aims to develop and promote research acumen amongst the young faculty members and research scholars. He further said that this workshop has been designed to integrate qualitative and quantitative techniques and to orient the participants towards fundamentals of research so that they can comply with the quality standards of research in their respective disciplines.

In the valediction ceremony, Dr. Garg distributed participation certificates and with this he declared the workshop over.

    A 7-day workshop on “Advanced Techniques in Biological Sciences” organized by the Centre for Research, Innovation and Training (CRIT) of The IIS University commenced on Tuesday. In the inaugural session, Prof. Pradeep Bhatnagar, Dean, Faculty of Sciences introduced the gathering with the aims and objectives of the workshop. “This workshop will be helpful for the participants to learn various techniques associated with animal cell culture and molecular biology, including DNA & protein isolation, electrophoresis, PCR etc., he said.”

    A seven-day National Workshop on Research Methodology organized by the Centre for Research, Innovation and Training (CRIT) of The IIS University commenced on Thursday. In the inaugural session, Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of The IIS University welcomed the participants as well as subject experts for being a part of this workshop. Workshop organizer and Dean & Director, CRIT Dr. Subhash Garg apprised the students with the importance this workshop carries in today’s world.

    Conference on “Environmental Pollution” concluded

    The two-day National Conference on “Environmental Pollution: Consequences and Control” organised by The IIS University in collaboration with Indian Association for Air Pollution Control and sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research concluded on Saturday. The first technical session of last day of the conference was based on “Water Pollution: Control and Technologies”. Dr. Urmila Bhrighu from MNIT, Jaipur and Dr. T.K.Joshi, Director, Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi were the invited speakers.

    The Centre for Research, Innovation and Training at the IIS University is organizing a 2 week programme on capacity building sponsored by ICSSR from Thursday to develop and promote research acumen amongst the young faculty in social sciences including commerce & management and to make them user friendly with the statistical software. The Programme has been designed to bridge the gap between theory and practical approach adopted by the young academicians in research progression.
