Students of Interior Design Department of IMS Design Innovative Academy (IMS DIA) have taken inspiration module from a popular bollywood song ‘Aao sikhau tumhe ande ka funda, ye nahi pyare koi mamuli banda’ as the theme and created a restaurant ‘ANDE KA FUNDA’ in their premises recently. The interior of this restaurant has been designed keeping in mind the food served, which creates an amazing and realistic ambience.
Expressing his views, Shashank Aggarwal, Faculty of Interior Design Department at IMS DIA & conceptulizer of the module said, “Thematic restaurants are the most modernized and sorted outlook of any public attraction. Students of semester 3 have converted their own class room into restaurant. The whole idea is to make sustainable use of resources. Students explores the furniture, light fixtures etc. in the best possible way and create them by using egg trays as their principle material. It’s the interior which makes this restaurant unique with its style and dimensions.”
The idea helps in creating a very cost effective and tangible interior with a beautiful ambience. It let a pathway for other projects and a great experience for the visitors too. It served a wide variety of delicious dishes all made of eggs to everyone.
During this occasion, Ankur Gulati, Dean Marketing and Branding at IMS DIA said, “Design is a journey of discovery and must always be exclusive and it has to be adaptable. The more strange and wonderful thoughts you let into your head the more varied source material you have to pull from, instead of using the mainstream goods our students are reusing things which are of no use and it is commendable.”
