5 September 2016, Jaipur. A four-day camp on & The Metal Scrap Sculpture,s has been inaugurated on Monday on the occasion of Teacher,s day. The camp is a joint effort of the Progressive Artist's group, Rajasthan, The IIS University, Jaipur and Art and Culture Department, Govt. of Rajasthan.
Shri Rajendra Mishra, A sculptor awarded by Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi inaugurated the camp. Many senior artists including Shri Natural Verma, Lalchand Marothia, Ranjeet Singh Chudawala, Samander Singh Khangarot, Shwet Goel and Mahesh Singh ware present on the occasion.
Dr Ashok Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of The IIS University welcomed the guest and declared camp open. Shri R. B. Gautam, Chairman, Progressive Artist & Group felicitated the artists present. He said that the camp will give a message of environment conservation to the society and also create awareness.
Approximately 15 artists participating in this camp such as senior sculptor and painter Bhawani Shankar Sharma, Giriraj Sharma, hansraj Kumawat, Hariram Kumawat, L.L. Naga, Sunil Kumar Gandhi, Amit Kala, Geeta Chauhan, Joy Singh, Kirti Sharma, Kritika Pareek, Ruchika Joshi.
Sculptures which will be created during the camp will be showcased on the last day of the camp.
