NDIM organizes the National Summit on Incubation and Entrepreneurship

Counted amongst one of the leading B-Schools in India, the New Delhi Institute of Management,Tughlakabad, organized a ‘National Summit on Incubation and Entrepreneurship’. Many distinguished guests, the students of the institute, along with the alumni participated in this Summit.The national Summit started off with a welcome speech by Mr.Vishvamohan Bansal, Chairman, NDIM. In his welcome note, the Chairman informed the students in detail about the various initiatives taken by the Institute to expand their knowledge base of entrepreneurship.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Mahesh Gupta, Chairman, Kent RO, addressed the students in the auditorium and encouraged them to become successful entrepreneurs by telling them about the key characteristics that make a good entrepreneur. He shared with the students that while there was an economic slow-down right across the globe, a developing country like India still offered unlimited opportunities for entrepreneurship across various sectors. Dr. Gupta told the students that an entrepreneur’s target shouldn’t be to just make money, but consistently work towards customer satisfaction.

The second speaker, former Managing Director, SIDBI, Mr. N. K. Maini spoke at length about the government’s Make in India’ project and how its benefits are going to reach out to the wider populace. He also informed the students about the simple government procedure for MSME initiatives/start-ups. He emphasized that MSME holds promise for the future and so the prospective entrepreneurs should focus on this segment. Next, Mr. Rohan Bhargav, Co-Founder Cashkaro Dot Com advised the students to choose the right team and work with diligence towards their targets.Lastly, Mr. R S Chauhan, Country Manager, Delphi Automotive systems briefed the students on how to meet the challenges to become a successful entrepreneur. During the Summit, the foundation of the New Delhi Institute of Management’s Centre for Incubation and Entrepreneurship was laid by the distinguished guests.This Centre will provide students with opportunities to learn about innovations as well as understand the finer points of entrepreneurship. The Summit concluded with felicitation and prize distribution to the NDIM alumni and first generation entrepreneurs.
