Department of Management Studies and Department of Financial Studies of The IIS University has organized a two-day National Conference on Corporate Governance: New Paradigm on Friday. Mohit Arolkar, Vice-President, Genpact delivered the keynote address on the occasion.
Chief Guest Mohit Arolkar shared his views on what do Indian corporate organizations expect from budding managers. According to him, manifested behavior plays a key role in success in corporate organizations.
“Intense Curiosity, humility, hard work that come under the umbrella of integrity and ownership are the qualities companies seek in budding managers,” Mohit Arolkar said.
Two technical sessions were held on the first day of the conference. In the first technical session, invited speaker Jyotsna Mehta talked about the mechanism of remuneration given to top management of the companies.
Second speaker Chartered Accountant Mr. Rajeev Sogani discussed in length about the recent fraud cases of corporate companies due to which their reputation is at stake. He also appraised the gathering with the amendments made by the government in corporate laws soon after fraud cases surfaced.
Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of The IIS University welcomed the chief guest, delegates and participants. Dean Prof. M K Sharma acquainted the audience with the aim and objectives of the conference.
The conference will conclude in four technical sessions in which at least 200 students are participating. Dr. Meenakshi Anand and Dr. Poonam Madan are the conveners of the conference.
