The 16th annual art exhibition Abivyakti Ek Prayas…organized by the students of Department of Visual Arts of The IIS University concluded on Wednesday. The five days long exhibition inaugurated at Jawahar Kala Kendra on Saturday.
At least 170 students from all the semesters in bachelors and masters of visual arts have exhibit their talent. Students have put together their hard work and talent to showcase their best in various visual art forms including mosaic, applied, compositions, wood art, still life, mural, illustrations, caricature, sculpture, drawing, tempera, print making, poster ad, designs, book covers etc under the guidance of visual arts experts of the university.
“Almost 8000 art lovers have not only visited the exhibition but also applaud the students for their creativity and vast knowledge about the various art forms. Some of the professionals have also offered jobs to the students to work with them and showcase their talent”, Shwet Goel, Head, Department of Visual Arts, said.
The aim of the exhibition was to showcase the artwork of students to the art lovers and professionals so that the students can interact with them about their work and have a greater understanding of the art forms.
Various campaigns on social issues were the centre of attraction for the visitors. Signage made by Nitika Khandelwal, Mitali Jain and Prachi Singhvi had also got attention of the art lovers.
