Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR), in collaboration with J K Business School (Gurgaon), organized the fourth full-day workshop to discuss various aspects of Entrepreneurship. A large number of students and teachers assembled in the School’s Conference Hall to listen to the invited experts.
The workshop began with a welcome address by Dr Sudhir Sakhuja, Dean of the School. The first speaker, Ms Surinder Kumar, Founder and MD, Travel Mate India shared her experiences with the audiences along with giving them tips on how to win over the customer’s trust in this highly competitive world. She also discussed in detail the prevalent market conditions for the women entrepreneurs. The second expert, Mr Subodh Kaushik, General Manager, Punjab National Bank imparted highly useful information pertaining to the strategy for funding for start-ups. In his address, he communicated to the students that due to the steps were taken by the present government, the loan taking process has become somewhat simplified although it still requires further efficient measures. Lastly, the Chief Guest, Mr. Sudarshan Banerjee, President and CEO, Starting Point Global, and former CEO, Kodak, Amway and Vodafone addressed the students. He emphasized that students not only need to focus on domain-specific skills but also develop soft skills and their proficiency in the language.In addition to this, he advised them to believe in life-long learning while working towards achieving their goals.
He advised the students that working with absolute commitment and constantly expanding their business networks hold the key to success. The workshops concluded with a vote of thanks by Brigadier Mehta, Registrar, J K Business School.
