Inception 2016 is back at Goa Institute of Management

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will host Inception 2016 this weekend on 6th February 2016, Saturday at the GIM college campus in Sanquelim. Started in 2011 as a musical evening, Inception has grown in stature over the years and attracted exceptional music talent and established itself as an annual musical summit.

Over 5 years of its existence INCEPTION has some of India’s most popular musicians playing at the campus. The star performers included Dill Vineet, Manmohan Raj, Welsey Aaron, Mohd. Arif Ali, Chaitanya, Ravindra Chary, Satyajit Talwalkar, Sangeet Haldipur, Gino Banks, Sheldon D’Silva&Anusha Mani.

Inception 2016 will witness a stand-up comedy act for the second year running. Chuck Gopal aka Deepak Gopalakrishnan, will be back with his rib-tickling humour on B-Schools, politics and a host of other topics.

Keeping true to its purpose, Inception 2016 will also provide a platform for the students of GIM to display their singing talent in front of a packed amphitheatre. Having always been one of its most popular events, the solo singing competition at Inception 2016 is expected to throw up lots of competition as the participants clash for the title.

The 6th edition of Inception will also witness some of the top bands from colleges across Goa battle it out to take the crown and a handsome cash prizes.

Once the college bands such as Within Ceres, Goa Trinity Apocalypse GIM have enthralled the audience with their performances, the headlining band for Inception 2016, Akshar from Hyderabad will take centre-stage with their Indie-Rock music which includes rendition of some of the classics in Indian music.

    Drishti a creative expression by the students of GIM The students of Goa Institute of Management (GIM) organized Drishti, exhibition of photographs at its campus in Sanquelim recently. The exhibition showcased photographs in four categories – Landscape, Portrait, Abstract and Table Top (Food Photography). The photography exhibition is a creative expression which arose out of the activities of the student group Sprockets who are dedicated to learning photography and film in addition to their business management diploma at the Goa Institute of Management.

    Goa Institute of Management (GIM) recently organised its annual state wide inter-college debate competition- ‘Praash’ in association with Emotional Intellectual Society (E.I.S), which is observed as National Education Day. The topic of debate was Make in India: A dream or practical possibility? The Make in India campaign is designed to facilitate investment, foster innovation, enhance skill development, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure.
