The IIS University marks 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar

The IIS University celebrates the 125th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B R Ambedkar on Thursday.

On the occasion of the 1st Constitution Day, Preamble reading session was organized in which Dr. Ashok Gupta Vice- Chancellor of the University read the preamble in front of the gathered students and staff members.

A Photo and Poster exhibition was organized at the campus about the Indian Constitution, the Constituent Assembly and life and work of Dr. B R Ambedkar to increase awareness in this regard.

  The IIS University pays tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam The IIS University has organized a two days photo exhibition on the life of people’s President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to pay him a tribute for his extraordinary work. The exhibition commenced from Friday has showcased a collection of rare pictures of the achievements and unforgettable memories of Dr. Kalam. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ashok Gupta on Friday at 10 am and it is open for all the students and faculty members of the university.

  Gold medal instituted in memory of R Krishnakumar by Ambedkar College

  Dr Ambedkar College and many well wishers of late YCMOU vice chancellor R Krishnakumar have instituted a gold mdeal in his name to recognize his contribution to the educational sector. Dr. R. Krishnakumar died on 21st January 2014 at the age of 51. The medal will be presented to 'best principal' of Nagpur University. Rs 1.5 lakh has been handed over to NU Vice Chancellor Vila Sapkal by the Ambedkar college managment.

  Maharashtra Technology university coming up in Pune

  Maharashtra Government decided to setup Technological university. This new university will be named Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technical Sciences University, and will be headquartered at Lonare in Raigad district. This university will have four divisional centers: Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune and Aurangabad, and five sub-centers at Amravati, Nanded, Jalgaon, Kolhapur and Solapur.
