National Conference on Reproductive Health Challenges

The IIS University, Jaipur in collaboration with Department of Zoology, University of Rajasthan and Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences & Technology, Jaipur under the auspices of the Indian Society for the study of Reproduction & Fertility (ISSRF) has organized a three days National Conference on Reproductive Health Challenges: Issues and Remedies on Friday at IIS auditorium.

Dr. N. K. Lohiya, President, ISSRF welcomed the delegates of the conference while presidential address was delivered by Padma Shri Dr. R. R. Chaudhury. Former Secretary, Department of Health Research & Former Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi Dr. V.M. Katoch have addressed the gathering with his keynote speech on the occasion while Former Director, Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow Dr. V.P. kamboj was the Guest of Honour of the conference.

The conference has provided a forum for researchers, policy makers, programme managers, service providers and NGOs in the field of reproductive health. The topics include Reproduction, Contraception & Strategies for Population Control, Pregnancy & Safe Motherhood, Unwanted Pregnancy & Abortion, Adolescent Reproductive Health, Multi-purpose Prevention Technology (MPT) including AIDS, RTI and STDs, Infertility and ARTs, Andropause, Menopause & HRT, Lifestyle, Environment & Reproductive Health, Reproductive Toxicity and Cancers of the Reproductive System.

The conference is focusing on various challenges in the field of reproductive health, deliberate on prevention measures, early diagnostic modalities, therapeutic options and future research strategies to achieve targets for reproductive health for all. Dr. Pradeep Bhatnagar is the convener of the conference while Organizing Secretaries Dr. Priyanka Mathur and Dr. A. S. Ansari have given the conference its final shape.

A three-day 69 th All India Commerce conference was organized by the faculty of Commerce of the University of Lucknow in collaboration with Indian Commerce Association. The theme of the conference was Start-Up India: Opportunities and Challenges .

    The two-day National Conference on “Environmental Pollution: Consequences and Control” organised by The IIS University in collaboration with Indian Association for Air Pollution Control and sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research concluded on Saturday. The first technical session of last day of the conference was based on “Water Pollution: Control and Technologies”. Dr. Urmila Bhrighu from MNIT, Jaipur and Dr. T.K.Joshi, Director, Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi were the invited speakers.
