University of Cambridge felicitates The IIS University

University of Cambridge, UK felicitated The IIS University with "Preparation Centre of the Year" award 2014-15 for conducting Business English Certificates (BEC) International Tests of English in the university.

Recently, a function was organized in New Delhi by the Cambridge English Office of the university in which the award was presented to Dr. Rimika Singhvi, Co-ordinator, Business English Certificates (BEC).

Business English Certificates (BEC) is a suite of international examinations (i.e. Preliminary, Vantage and Higher) designed by the University of Cambridge, English for the Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), U.K. to assess Business English proficiency.

The Certificates are recognized by institutions and corporate world-wide. BEC is a qualification that is valid for life and can be added to one’s resume. The IIS University prepares its students through regular classes and conducts the BEC exams offered by the University of Cambridge in association with The British Council, New Delhi.

    Annual Award Ceremony held at IIS Yagyanik Sharma and Raunak Yadav declared Jewel of IIS Kshipra Path situated India International School organized Annual Award Ceremony to felicitate students who excelled in different fields on Thursday at the school auditorium. Ms. Nidhi G Agarwal, Rajasthan Head, KPMG graced the occasion as the chief guest. The program commenced with a semi-classical performance based on Lord Krishna. Later, the chief guest and the Director Dr. Ashok Gupta felicitated the awardees under the different categories.

    14th May 2015: Jaipur: To felicitate the achievements of the students in academics and sports activities, the IIS University has organized ‘Award Ceremony 2015’ at IIIM auditorium on Thursday. The students who grabbed second and third positions in academics, members of office bearer council and winners and runners up position holders of various sports competitions were awarded for the session 2014-2015. In total, 300 student achievers were felicitated on the occasion.

Mr. Rakesh Verma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary graced the occasion as the chief guest. The program commenced with Goddess Saraswati Vandana followed by a classical dance performance. Later, the chief guest and the Director Dr. Ashok Gupta felicitated the awardees under the different categories.

    March, 2014: Sound like a professional at a corporate firm by taking up a course in Business English. The Student Support Services at Chowgule College will be conducting a coaching programme titled 'Business English Certificate' (BEC). This initiative of Chowgule College is in collaboration with British Council, Mumbai which conducts examinations of the same on behalf of Cambridge University’s ESOL.

    Dr. Amitava ‘Babi’ Mitra has been appointed as the President and Vice Chancellor of newly created VIT University, Jaipur. Dr. Amitava Mitra is an alumnus of BITS Pilani and was formerly Executive Director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT USA Dr. Mitra participated in the formulation of the Government of India’s National Policy on Education (1986), and is a co-author of the book, "Challenge & Response: Towards a New Educational Policy".
