A ten-day member student group from Pennsylvania State University, USA is coming to Jaipur on a six-day visit to The IIS University beginning from Thursday.
The visit is a part of an agreement signed between the two institutions in the year 2013 for purposes of academic and cultural exchange for mutual understanding and benefit of students from the two countries. The students will be accompanied by Indian origin Sakshi Bhargava who is doing Phd from Pennsylvania State University.
This will be the third visit to the university by the Pennsylvanian students. The group’s stay on campus would comprise student-sessions on a variety of topics for The group’s stay on campus would comprise student- sessions on a variety of topics for discussion and attending classes of Jewellary designing, folk songs and dances, sculpture, rakhi making, tie and dye, Mehandi applying as per the group members’ chosen area of study.
In addition, there would be sight-seeing, local shopping and home-visits. There would also be faculty presentations to enable the foreign students to gain a deeper insight into the state and the country’s educational system, especially at the tertiary level.
