The IIS University organized poster making competition on Anti- Ragging

The Anti-Ragging Squad of The IIS University has organized a Poster Making Competition on anti ragging subject on Tuesday. Total 113 students from streams like arts, science, commerce and visual arts had participated in the competition.

The Anti-Ragging squad was constituted in order to make the campus ragging free. Time and again the squad organizes such events to spread message against ragging.

The participants showcased their opinions and thoughts on ragging through strokes and colors. One student conveyed ‘Be Buddies, Not Bullies’ message while other student said ‘Your little fun can cost a life.’

Later, the results were announced and Prachi Singhvi, Parul Sharma and Niharika Bansal from BVA stood first, second and third respectively. Besides, five consolation prizes were also given.

    Conference on microwave techniques and optical communication commenced

    The Department of Physics of The IIS University has organized a two days conference on “Recent Trends in Microwave Techniques and Optical Communication” on Wednesday. While inaugurating the conference, the Vice-Chancellor of the university took pride to extend the warm greetings to the speakers, delegates, research scholars and he also extended hopes that this conference will set high standards of research and training towards microwave techniques and optical communication.

    HRD Ministry launches Anti-Ragging website

    Human Resource Department has launched a website to tackle the ragging menace that occur every year whenever new academic session starts. Engineering and Medical colleges record highest number of ragging cases. And some extreme cases, the victims face physical abuses,sometimes leading to death. The Central government has zero-tolerance policy towards ragging since long and have been very active in controlling ragging in major institutes of India. Now going a step further, HRD ministry has come up with a website where students directly can sent their reports.
  • Shiksha Ka haq to be spread by Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh

    A year long campaign has been launched for Right to education where headmasters from 13 lakhs primary school will be reading out Prime minister, Manmohan Singh's message on November 11, 2011. The message has been translated in to 14 Indian languages so that it touches the heart of the Indian masses. Shiksha Ka Haq or Right to education will set history as it involves lakhs of Volunteers and hundreds of community based organizations to participate in the door to door campaign till 11th November 2012.
