IIS students Outshine at International Commerce Olympiad 2014

Aastha Bardia of class 12 and Samriddhi Kejriwal of class 11 of India International School, Jaipur brought laurels to the school in the International Commerce Olympiad 2014.

Ashtha secured 98.30% while Samriddhi Kejriwal got 97.90% at the Olympiad conducted by the Commerce Teachers’ Foundation, New Delhi. Both the girls got top positions in the school.

The result of the Olympiad conducted on 28th November 2014 was recently declared in which at around 30,000 shown their participation from all over the country.

While sharing her happiness Astha Bardia said that it was a great platform to showcase our talent and while preparing for the exam I got a chance to get in depth knowledge of the subject.

Samriddhi Kejriwal shared her views by saying that my performance in the exam boosted my morale and it has motivated me to keep competing for such exams in the future.

    India International School organized Annual Award Ceremony to felicitate students who excelled in different fields on Monday at school auditorium. Mr. Rakesh Verma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary graced the occasion as the chief guest. The program commenced with Goddess Saraswati Vandana followed by a classical dance performance. Later, the chief guest and the Director Dr. Ashok Gupta felicitated the awardees under the different categories.

    The annual business festival of Goa Institute of Management (GIM), Samriddhi, was recently held at the institute’s Sanquelim campus. This year, the theme for Samriddhi was ‘The Game Changers’ which featured achievers who made it big in their respective fields and significantly changed the game. A wide range of events, workshops and simulation games were also organised that attracted participants from institutes all over the country.

The host B school, GIM was represented by a strong competing and dynamic regiment of 600 vibrant students from general management, healthcare and executive programmes that battled it out for the ultimate faceoff against top minds of the country in Samriddhi events.

    Jain University beat Jamia Millia Islamia to win Toyota University T20 championship 2013

    Bangalore's Jain University won againsts the hosts Jamia Millia by two runs to win the Toyota University T20 championship on Sunday night. Jain University's 19-year-old Shreyas Gopal's all rounde performance got them the coveted trophy. Gopal scored unbeaten 83 and took 2 wickets while bowling leg-spin. At the end Shreyas Gopal was declared as Man-of-the-match. 5 runs were needed in the last over by Jamia to win, but they could only score 2 runs.

    Students from Bihar Village School clears International Mathematics Olympiad, IITians, skype,Computers

    6 students from Gopalganj district in Bihar have cleared International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) examination. The school is founded by IITians and it imparts education using latest technology. Six selected students will now appear for IMO's level 2 examination. Teaching takes place through skype. Computers are run by generators as there is no power in the village.
