Gauhati University's First inter-college boxing (Male & Female) tournament 2014

Assam's Gauhati University is going to organise their first inter-college boxing (Male & Female) tournament 2014 at Bongaigaon College. The event is scheduled to be held from 4th April to 6th April 2014.

Participation is limited to colleges affiliated to Gauhati University only. Each institution is to deposit participation fee @ Rs.2,000/- only along with a refundable security / caution money amounting to Rs.1,000/- only.

The tournament will cover nine weight categories of boxers: 46-49 kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg & 81kg+. All teams are to report to the camp in Bongaigaon College on 3rd April, 2014 latest by 6 00pm.

This boxing event is being organised by Bongaigaon College in association with Bongaigaon District Amateur Boxing Association.

  Dibrugarh University to have CCTV cameras in exam halls

  Dibrugarh University is planning to install CCTV cameras in examination halls. This is the first such attempt to check cheating and unfair means in examination hall. A senior official of the varsity said, "The examination will be held in Guwahati, Silchar, Nalbari, Lakhimpur, Tezpur, Nagaon, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Bongaigaon in 27 venues and for the first time, CCTV has been installed in the exam centres."
