NAAC to visit Chowgule College

Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science has volunteered for Assessment and Accreditation by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). A three member peer team comprising of eminent academic experts will be visiting the college from 17th-19th February 2014 to acquaint themselves with the strengths and weaknesses of the institution with reference to quality assurance. The visit of the peer team is neither an inspection nor an attempt to solve any grievances. The whole process is to validate the Self Study Report and help the institution in quality assurance.

In 2009, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) re-accredited the college with Grade 'A' with a CGPA score of 3.29 out of 4. In addition, the performance of the College has been recognized at the National level by the University Grants Commission and at the International Level, by Ford Foundation, U.S.A.

Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science is the oldest institution providing instruction in Arts and Science streams up to the degree and post graduate level in the state of Goa.Chowgule College believes in imparting all-round development to its students, hence there is a constant emphasis in sports related activities and extracurricular facilities. Chowgule College Celebrates its First Convocation Day ~130 students receive the coveted bachelors degree for arts & science ~ Margao, May 2013: Chowgule College organized its first Convocation Ceremony at its college premises recently for the graduating batch of 2010 – 2013. Students turned graduates received the coveted degrees in Bachelors of Science and Arts after having completed three years of excellence in academics.
