CTET 2014 Admit Card now available for download

Candidates can now download their admin card from ctet.nic.in. Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is scheduled to be held on 16th February 2014. CTET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.

Cadidates passing this exam will be appointed as Primary Level Teacher for Classes I-V or Junior Level Teacher: Classes VI-VIII

Pattern of CTET Exam
The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s).

There will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

    The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examination for classes 10 and 12 will begin on March 1. For class 10 students, the examination will end on March 19 2014. And for class 12 students, the examination will end on April 17 2014. Around 22.65 lakh students have registered for the 2014 CBSE board exam as compared to 21.76 lakh students registered in 2013 CBSE board exams.     Chennai has rescheduled dates of class 10th board exams

    Class 10th board exam will start from 1st week of April 2012 instead of scheduled date in March. The decision was takes to help teachers complete the school syllabus and help students in revision of courses before the exam. There was delay in implementing Samacheer Kalvi common syllabus and most students could not get books. So the board has rescheduled dates to combat this delay. Class 12th exam will happen on time i.e from 1st week of March 2012.
