This comes as good respite for students of Maharashtra state. Earlier they had to appear for various tests, but now they will have to concentrate on single test.

Here is list of few points to remember for students.

  • First year Engineering admissions in Maharashtra's institutions will be done on the basis of marks scored in JEE and Class XII
  • The 50% marks scored by the candidates in JEE (Mains) and Class XII each will be given weight-age. The final merit list will be published after the score in two examinations
  • The valuation of marks scored in Class XII of CBSE, ICSE or State Board will be on the basis of normalized percentile decided by Indian Statistical Institute.
  • JEEE is conducted in two parts - JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. While conducting admissions in Engineering colleges in Maharashtra, the marks scored in JEE Mains will be considered.
  • The maximum marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII will be considered while deciding 50% marks.
  • The candidates should score more than 50% aggregates marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students scoring less than 50% are not eligible for engineering admissions.
