Chowgule College announces its 3rd edition of Open Day

Panaji, 9th May 2013: With the exam results being announced, students are making a bee line for admissions to colleges. In order to help students make a better choice for their future, Chowgule College a NAAC accredited institute will be organizing its annual Chowgule College Open Day for students and parents.

The 3rd edition of Chowgule College Open Day will be held at two locations this year which includes the Chowgule College campus on 12th May and 18th/19th of May at Kala Academy in Panjim as part of Edunext 2013.

Chowgule College Open Day will feature stalls set up by svarious departments including courses offered in the BA, BSc, Post Graduate, Student Support services, Sports and other departments. Faculty members as well as students will interact with visitors on the course structures, evaluation methods and other aspects of the college which are of interest to students. On the 12th of May, one can also take a tour of the college campus and the various facilities available to students including the state-of-the-art, technologically advanced Tiger’s Studio, spacious computer labs with over 200 computers for student use, international standard sports facilities, the writing center and other facilities.

Chowgule College has always striven to provide the best to its students, be it in terms of infrastructure, support services, technological input, mentoring or otherwise. Mentoring has always been an integral part of the education process, with regular student – mentor interface, evaluation of progress and planning of academic activities. The core faculty members with their strong credentials strives towards innovative learning ensuring that the course is in sync with the latest academic and social requirements.

The infrastructural facilities at Chowgule College are unmatched. Besides being a wi-fi campus, the college has over 200 computers, for students use. The three spacious computer labs offer free internet facility for its students. Moreover, the classrooms are equipped with audio visual aid. With over 57 thousand books and a large number of journals and publications, Chowgule College has one of the best libraries in the state who have recently thrown open their doors to the public. In the area of sports, the campus boasts of an artificial turf laid on the foot ball ground, one-of-its-kind in the whole of south Asia, tennis and basketball courts and a state-of-the-art sports facility and physiotherapy center.
