India is home to dozens of languages that are actively spoken and written. Each language represents one geographical area. And with the rising of Internet, and other communication system, there is a growing need of Translators to translate contents from one language to others. This not only applies to Indian languages, but global languages too.
Keeping this in mind, University of Pune has started a new course that will take care of translation requirements in the market.
The course: Masters in Translation: Theory and Application course. It will be a 2 year course.
"Pune university is the first university in the country to start a postgraduate course in translation. There are several certificate courses, though no such two-year rigorous degree course in other universities." said director of Sanskrit Pragat Adhyanan Centre Ujjwala Panse-Jha
