Assam varsity signs MoU with Dhaka’s Jagannath University

Assam University here has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh’s Jagannath University for conducting joint programmes in the fields of science, arts, business and social studies.

The MoU was to encourage long-term academic co-operation between the two universities which would encourage activities in the fields of science, arts, business, social science, law, education, information technology, fine arts and all other fields of mutual interest, he said.

It also stressed the need for exchange of academic staff and conducting joint academic research for a period of time agreed upon in advance by the authorities of the two universities.

Salgaocar, Chairman of VMSIIHE, and Mr. Luis Araújo, President of Turismo de Portugal, in the presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Portugal António Costa who is presently in Goa on a state visit. Professor Irfan Mirza, Director of V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education lead the efforts in forging a collaboration between the two nations.
