Dilip K Arora appointed as VC of SKUAST, Jammu

Dilip K Arora has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu.
Dilip K Arora is a renowned Agricultural Scientist. Dilip K Arora replaces Shaleen Kabra.

He was a Professor at Banaras Hindu University and has served as Director (Research Management position) of ICAR, New Delhi. He is also a Visiting Scientist, University of Idaho, USA, Institute of Microbiology, Poland, INRA, France, Gifu University, Japan, Lund University, Sweden etc.

He is the recipient of many national and international awards and honours. Among others he was awarded the French Government Scholarship for Higher Research Training (1980), National Scholarship to Study Abroad (1981), Young Associate, Indian Academy of Sciences (1985-90), National Associate, University Grants Commission, New Delhi (1984), UNESCO-Biotechnology Fellow (1993), Rothamsted International Fellow (1994-95), Post-Doctoral Visiting Fellow, Japan Society for Promotion of Science, Japan (1996-97), Fellow, Association of Microbiologists of India (2010).
