Students from Bihar Village School clears International Mathematics Olympiad, IITians, skype,Computers

6 students from Gopalganj district in Bihar have cleared International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) examination. The school is founded by IITians and it imparts education using latest technology. Six selected students will now appear for IMO's level 2 examination. Teaching takes place through skype. Computers are run by generators as there is no power in the village.

Chandrakant singh, founder of the school teaches mathematics. Pankaj Kumar, from BIT, Sindri, teaches physics from Madhya Pradesh and Sanjay Rai, from BITS, Pilani, teaches chemistry from UP. Most of the students are from the near by village. The school has a hostel too. There is a fixed fee for study as well as hostel facility, but concessions are given to student from low income family.

    Montage 2015, the 11th Annual Inter-Institute IT fest of International School of Informatics & Management, Technical Campus started on Wednesday with enthralling enthusiasm. The inaugural ceremony “UDGHOSH” started with Vandana and was followed by lamp lighting. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director, IIIM welcomed all guests and participants and shared the institute’s educational and cultural landmarks of the preceding year. Montage 2015 has a participation of around 400 students from 15 technical institutes all over the country.

    IIS students Outshine at International Commerce Olympiad 2014

    Aastha Bardia of class 12 and Samriddhi Kejriwal of class 11 of India International School, Jaipur brought laurels to the school in the International Commerce Olympiad 2014. Ashtha secured 98.30% while Samriddhi Kejriwal got 97.90% at the Olympiad conducted by the Commerce Teachers’ Foundation, New Delhi. Both the girls got top positions in the school. The result of the Olympiad conducted on 28th November 2014 was recently declared in which at around 30,000 shown their participation from all over the country.
