R. Murugesan elected as the president of Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi for 2012 to 2012

R. Murugesan, Vice Chancellor of Anna University of Technology, Madurai has been elected as the 15th president of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi for 2012 to 2012.

The election for the post was held during Annual National Convention hosted by Baba Bandha Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab.

Kapil Sibal: Polytechnics can generate skilled workforce

While speaking at the second national convention of State Boards of Technical Education on 'Polytechnic Education and Achievements and Challenges Ahead', Union Minister for HRD Kapil Sibal told that Polytechnics can help in curbing the shortfall of skilled manpower in the country. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) releases dates for PMT 2012 examination

BHU to hold All India competitive written test for admission in MBBS course in two stages , PMT 2012 Screening and PMT 2012 Main while only 2012 PMT Screening will be held for admission in BDS, BPharm and BAMS. PMT 2012 screening will be done on 16th May 2012 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad centers. PMT 2012 Main exam will be held on 17th June 2012 at Varanasi center only. Uttar Pradesh Board Reschedules examination dates for Class 10th and 12th standard Students

UP board exams for class 10th and 12th standard students has been rescheduled from 1st March 2012 to 16th March and exams will conclude on 20th April 2012. Dates were revised due to clash of examination dates with election dates. Sanjay Mohan ,UP Higher Secondary Education Board chairman took the decision to help teachers rest who will be involved in UP election work. The Class X examinations will get over by 2nd April, while the Class XII examinations will continue till 20th April 2012.
