Our college gives lot of importance to sports and athletics. We believe in the dictum that only a healthy body can have a healthy mind which in turn would facilitate better academic performances. The college has conducted may inter college and schools events. With a noble aim of giving fillip to the rural game kabadi, we conduct an annual kabadi tournament chandy trophy. A school volleyball tournament was also conducted in our campus to provide the platform for young school students to display their sporting skills. Many of our institutions have brought laurels to our institution by winning competitions across the state. Our college possesses excellent play fields for kabaddi and volleyball and an exclusive nets facility for cricket is setup for in our campus to young talents to prune young talents for the near future. Physical education-is an integral part of educational programme designed to promote the optimum development of an individual. It makes one emotionally, mentally and physically strong. The primary aims of physical education have varied, based on the needs of the time and place. Sport is commonly defined as an organized, competitive and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play. At Chandy we give utmost priority to sports since it acts as a great stress buster for the students who toil hard I n their academics. We take pride in organizing an annual kabaddi tournament to promote our rural tradition and we also conducted interschool volleyball tournament for the school students to provide them the platform to spruce up their sporting skills.

Teaching & Learning Innovation

The information explosion has led students to disarray of information in the positive directions. At chandy, we firmly believe that lecture centred methods are to be spruced up and we offer various teaching methodologies to keep students motivated and updated with the changing dynamics in course content. We keep redesigning ourselves by organizing international workshops and faculty development programmes at regular intervals for the staff members to keep themselves updated in the emerging sprouts in the fields of technology, moreover students are given the freedom to experiment with their hypothesis by providing suitable platforms to showcase their aptitude for research

Arts & Culture

Modern day students are facing stiff competition in the job market at present. In this backdrop it is vital that they are given holistic training to relax themselves and enable them to tackle pressure situation diligently. To supplement this task the college has got active clubs and Associations which helps students to show case their inner potential in Arts and culture. Associations like CAHS (Cumulative Association of Humanities and Sciences) conducts programmes frequently for the students and it also arranges orientation programmes for the students. English Literature Club conducts frequent workshops and programmes like inter department debate and Group Discussion events to promote their fluency in English.

Environment & Sustainability

At chandy we believe that the Environment and Development can coexist The worlds biggest challenge at present in to find source of Renewable energy which is both sustainable and non pollutive. India is fast becoming an economic super power hence it is imperative that we keep exploring alternative sources of energy. In this right earnest we have sought eco friendly measurements to satisfy the energy needs of our campus. We have commissioned a Bio- gas plant for our college mess and we have successfully established integrated solar and wind power through hybrid power models and we have also submitted a proposal to generate 1oo hw power through solar panels in our campus.

Public Service

We are aware of the fact that modern day students must get exposure in social life. The future of India is molded only in educational institutions. To keep our students aware of the emerging social situations various clubs are actively functioning in our campus to instill the spirit of social responsibility in them. Rotract club, the wing of Rotary clubs student wing is functioning in our campus. Students have shown a keen interest in the activities of the club. Blood donation campus has been organized in our college in collaboration with the Government medical college hospital tuticorin. Our students have voluntarily registered their names for various social welfare programmes making them equipped to assume responsibility roles is the near future.
