Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science & Technology was established in the year 1982 with the objective of catering to the research, education and extension education requirements of the state in the areas of agriculture and forestry. The university is actively involved in providing technical education in agriculture and related fields to farmers and people living in remote rural areas. The university adopts a method of flexible teaching and learning, besides it also offers several exchange programs through various institutes located around the state.
