Western region tops in ICSE results |

Ahmedabad : There was good news for schools of the western region, as class X and class XII results with ouncil for the Indian School
Certificate Examinations, New Delhi were declared on Wednesday. According to the council, the western region has the highest passing per cent of ICSE with 99.14 per cent.
The results for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ICSE-X) and Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC-XII) were put up on the official website of the board. The highest pass per cent for ISCE was of the southern region with 97.78 per cent, where western region was at 97.69 per cent.
"Two things that came out from the results this year is that there are a lower number of girls failed in the exam and lesser number of girls withdrew from the exam. The pass percent of girls in ICSE is 98.14 per cent whereas for boys it is 96.90 per cent. In the ISC, the pass per cent of girls is 97.75 per cent and the boys is 95.33 per cent," said Gerry Arathoon, adittional secretary and officiating chief executive and secretary, in his communication to the press.
