Schools across the tricity had a busy day on Wednesday with the Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE) declaring the results of Class X and XII and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) coming out with Class XII results. ICSE students registered a cent per cent result in both the classes.
As many as 200 candidates had appeared for the Class XII examination. While three top slots in different streams were bagged by girls, it was the Yadavindra Public School in Mohali that got the lion’s share of top positions in the tricity. Four of its students are among the toppers.
While Rupinderjit Kaur of YPS topped in the Medical stream with 92.5 per cent, Aanchal Bajwa of the same school topped in the Non-Medical stream by scoring 86.8 per cent. Humanities, too, saw a girl from YPS, Akshi Chawla, scoring the highest marks: 92.8 per cent. In the Commerce stream, St Xavier’s Greg Alphonse topped with 91.75 per cent.
