The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced dates for CMAT (Common Management Admission Test). It will be held online between 20 - 28th February 2012, twice daily for 3 hours each.
Registration for the exam will start from 9th December 2011 and will continue till January 2012. Users have to register online and create an user Id, which will generate a password. Then they can fill up the form and proceed for payment details. It can be done online by Credit Card or Debit Card. Students opting for offline payment have to pay cash at State bank of India against an online generated challan.
The Hall ticket will be available for download from 30th January 2012. With only four centers in Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nagpur) preference for location will be given on first come first serve basis.
AICTE has now urged every state government to register online and use CMAT-2012 scores for admissions for academic year 2012-13.
AICTE has decided to conduct Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) twice a year from 2013. The entrance exam will be conducted after a gap of 6 months. This would help interested candidates to sit again for the entrance test. The best score would be considered while admission in any B-School.
From 2013 it will be mandatory for all AICTE approved colleges to take admission by considering CMAT scores. 
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced dates for receipt of AIPMT forms. Last date for receipt of forms without late fees is 25th January 2012. Candidates can apply for the exam online at http://www.aipmt.nic.in/ and fill up the examination form. Payments can be done online or offline at any nationalized banks.

The preliminary exam will be held on April 1, 2012 .
State Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has postponed MAH – MBA / MMS – CET from 26th February 2012 to 4th March 2012 due to clash in dates with All India Council for Technical Education's (AICTE) Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT).
Dates for MCA entrance exams will remain the same i.e 4th March 2012. The decision was taken in favor of students so that they do not suffer and answer both the exams peacefully.

Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI), an association of B- School and Association of Indian Management Schools ( AIMS) have objected to the idea of a single entrance test.
